starting car without the key
My car was recently stolen and the theives broke the ignition. I dont want to spend a grip load of $ for a new ignition switch. I was wondering if i can get the s2000 push start button...wire it somehow so i wont need to use the key? btw...i dont want to buy a used ignition switch..cause i dont want to have 2 different keys...1 for ignition and 1 for doors/trunk. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks.

an S2000 still uses a key, but instead of turning it that last bit of rotation to engage power to the starter, the "start" button does that...... I am sure you could rig it some how and use any kind of button you wanted... but why???

Re: starting car without the key (Limited S.L.I.P.)
the S2000 push button still utilizes the key
just not the last "click" we use
just make it even more easier for a theif

get a used ignition switch, but you can swap out your key tumbler if its not broken....if it is, get the 3 other tumblers and swap em in, so u have one key

very easy, just click it 2 the second or 3rd position, and theres a little pin that you have to push in, it will slide right out once the pin is depressed...oh yeah, theres also a star screw that has to come out, but i just put vice grips around the bolt and took it out that way, cause i didnt have a bit that looked anything like that
Note my pin got caught on something on the way out so it needed a lil force, but other then that its very easy
