spark at coil, no spark at plug, continuity in rotor, cap & wires
Greetings all. I'm a new guy here looking for some help. I have a '94 Civic DX (1.5L, D15B7, approx 180k miles). My daughter drove it to work the other day and when she finished her shift several hours later it would not start. It cranks, but won't start. It has no spark at the plugs (the terminal end of the plug wire to be exact), but does have spark at the ignition coil. It has continuity through the distributor cap, the rotor, and the one plug wire I checked (I didn't measure the amount of resistance yet). I cleaned up the terminals in the cap and on the rotor and checked everything again just to make sure--same results: spark at coil, continuity throughout, no spark at plugs, cranks but won't start. Any ideas on what might be wrong?
Blessings,
Scott

Tony--sorry, I misread your message. I grounded some spare electrical wire to the car and held the other end 1/4 inch from the coil output spring while cranking it. Observed spark.

When getting really technical your ability shines, don't red neck it. Just because you got spark doesn't really mean anything.
