Replacing D16z6 with D15 Non-Vtec question!!!
I'm swapping out a blown d16z6 with a d15 non-vtec engine from a 94 dx. The car is a friend's 93 si hatch. He is accumulating parts for a b18 swap, but doesn't have the money to do it right now, so he purchased this engine for $250. Intake manifold was cracked during transport, so we used the Z6 one. We sourced a non vtec dizzy, and installed that. Buttoned up everything, and car won't start. Sounds like timing is off from the backfiring out of the exhaust. We're using the Z6 harness, ecu, intake manifold, plug wires, and all accessories.
Before i go into troubleshooting and throwing parts at it, i'd like to know if there's any incompatibilities i should know about. There's not much info on swaps like these, cause they're kinda retarded. If any of you can help, i'd appreciate it greatly. You guys are the $h!t

Its basically a straight swap. Check your timing (you can get a distributor 180 degrees out, but you really have to work at it)
