Default osram silverstar or sylvania silverstar??

looking for some good looking, cheap and bright bulbs for my civic for when driving home at night from work...i always thought about getting sylvania silverstars cause i heard they were good for the money...but then i came across the osram silverstar...soo i searched about it and came up with different kinds of stuff about them but dont kno if they are correct...i heard osram bought sylvania right?? i also heard they are the same bulb but then others said they are not?? i heard the osram are a brighter stock look cause of the yellowish color and the sylvanias have a less brighter look than osram but a white color...soo whas true and whas not about these?? which one lasts longer??...which one is brighter?? which one is whiter??

The Sylvania Silverstars are supposedly slightly more blue. They are the same company. I had read this in one of their articles the other day, but since I haven't seen both sets of lightst myself, I dunno.

The Sylvania SilverStars that are typically available in the US are coated bulbs intended to produce a "whiter" light. European (Osram) SilverStars are not coated, and produce more light at near-stock color temperatures. If the bulbs you found are the Euro-spec Osram SilverStars, they would be the better choice.

Osram-Sylvania is a single company, but if your bulbs are coated, they're not the Euro-spec "Osram" SilverStars.

I wish I would have read this before I bought some $30 bulbs even though I don't care obviously.
