COOLANT
Is this normal, I drove my car about 20 miles and stopped to check the coolent level (leaky heater core outlet) and i opened the rad cap. I was expecting it to spew out or something but it didnt. So i stuck my finger in the radiator and the coolent was warm but not hot. it was a lil cooler than bath water. Is this normal? I just have never seen a engine stay this cold the valve cover wasent even that hot. The temp gauge show about a lil under half. But yea is this normal? Total run time was like 35-40 mins at 50degrees outside

i like your user name.
Maybe you are running without a thermostat? Thats fine in the summer but when it gets colder you actually want your car to have a chance to get warm.
