HELP!! Problem starting in the morning after rain
My car is starting to acting up lately......everytime it rain at night, no start in the morning....radio and everything works, car turns over, just won't start. Even tried to jump start it, I'll have to wait like 5 min. to start the car.... I assume the starter is ok since it turns over, and my battery is a little over two years old. Any suggestion? Might not be related, but it started to do this after I seafoamed my car, and reset the ECU.....Please help, thanks!! Also it starts fine when its not raining, just in the morning after rain.....

Are you sure it's cranking over fast enough to start?
If you are POSITIVE, check your plugs/wires/dizzy rotor/cap.
If they're old and crack (or are cheap **** and crack) the water gets in there and really ***** **** up.
When was the last time they were changed and with what?

Re: HELP!! Problem starting in the morning after rain (Syndacate)
Thanks for your input
I changed my cap less then a year ago, but the wire and plug is pretty old......think that might be the problem? Because once I started the car and drive to work, it will still start after like 7 to 8 hours later.....only for overnight.....

Re: HELP!! Problem starting in the morning after rain (EK VTi)
Has to do with cooldown and evaporation.
After you've ran the car for awhile the heat from the engine dries out the wires and they function fine...unitil it rains again, then there's too much humidity in the air and they're wet again.
Sounds like your best bet, change 'em and see .
BTW:
I do bosch wires on 4 bangers, about 50 bucks I think for good wires, I mean they're not MSD but they're good wires for daily driver use. Very good to say the least, not to mention relatively cheap for what you're getting. That and NGK plugs.
- Hope that works :-\
