HELP brakes keep sticking!
after a few min of driving my car my brakes start sticking. before the rod on the brake pedal would just stick to the floor and my brakes would be 100% locked up...the car wouldent move. but after tapping the rod it released. so i changed my master cylinder. the issue did get better because the brakes dont completely lock up now but i can still feel them sticking and i cannot really push the car(eg hatch).
do you think this has anything to do with the push rod adjustment? if so how do i adjust it? or what else can it be?
thanks
BTW the brakes lock up front and back.

Front or rear maybe it time to change your calipers. Also jack the car up take the wheels on what ever side the front or rear . Where ever the problem is and have some one stick it in gear see what happened when you brake do the brakes engage and disengage if so then it ain't the brake and your probably have a bad master or prop valve. Also how are the slide pins on the caliper braket do they move freely .

i have a 5 lug and all 4 wheels are sticking. i jacked the car up and saw for my self. i did do a brake line tuck over the winter but i dont know if the routing of the brake lines will cause the brakes to stick.

Did you replace the proportioning valve? I'm not sure what goes into this type of conversion or if this would affect all 4 corners but that's what popped into mind.

If you have a Helms it should tell you.
If not I found this. Don't know if this will help you or not.
you can adjust your pedal travel by the pushrod under the dash. you may need to modify a 17mm wrench to hold the MC so you can turn the 12point 14mm lock nut that holds it in place. the wrench needs to be super thin to allow you to hold the MC and put a 14mm wrench over it to loosen the bolt. once you have the mc side lock nut and the nut on the pedal side loose you can turn the pushrod with a pair of pliers. adjust the travel to where you need it and lock it back. its annoying but once you get it dialed in its more than worth it[/img]
