GS-R Cluster into a EG
I searched and only found acura_typer's post on his modified GS-R cluster with a EG casing. For those of you who used the GS-R casing, can you explain to me how it is done. I just wanna get some ideas before i start hacking things up. Also, does anyone have the wiring harness, the fifthgearonline.com is not on the server anymore. Thanks

i know there is more than that on the search function cause i have personnally gone over it many times w/ people on honda-tech and in email.. shoot me an email and ill send you a wire diagram that works perfect.. as for a pic of how it fits check this pic out.. basically i took a dremal to the cluster and black surrounding till it fit in there good, wish i would have done a better job but once i get my integra dash in the car it will look fine..

There was someone on this board a while back that was selling these pre-made. Or, you could send him an integra and civic display (and some cash) and he'd send you back a completed unit.
can't find it using a search... big surprise

Re: GS-R Cluster into a EG (eagle2)
I just did my cluster swap 2 days ago using those directions, it wasn't hard, but I wasnt as prepared for it as I thought so it took me a long time. I took pictures of the whole install and plan to put up a step by step guide once I get the pics back, and get a web host and domain, and get off my lazy butt and put together a site.
when I did my install I cut the guage cluster basically flush to the top of the guages, so none of the housing in the front was on there, you'll need to do that to make it fit in the civic dash. and I dont have any plastic in front of it yet because the only pice that would fit would be the original civic one, and that's got the odometer reset hole int he wrong place.
the plugs are completely different than the civic's however. what I did is soldered the wires right onto the plastic leads on the back of the cluster and ran them to one of those white plugs, the ones where you put the pins in yourself. for the wiring harness I used these blue splicers that are for sound systems installs that splice a third wire onto one straight one w/o cutting it then I wired all of these up in order onto two of those same jacks I used earlier. then I just put the pins of the GS-R cluster's plug to match where the civic ones were using hte wiring diagram above and plugged everything togeter, works great! and this way if I ever want to put a civic cluster back in I still have both sets of plugs so it'll still plug straight up to the harness
