Feedback on NEW JDMCARBOY.com Mugen Twin Loop Exhaust on my 1997 HX Coupe!
Ok Guys...For All of you people who just got an exhaust ticket, and need to go back to stock or a extremely quiet (before 3000 RPM that is ) exhaust, JDMCARBOY.COM's new Mugen Twin Loop Style Exhaust is the way to go. With a 3" tip, and a 2.25" diameter, the exhaust looks stock from behind, but the performance is far from stock.
When I got pulled over from the cops for a "modified exhaust", I knew that i needed to get another exhaust or go back to stock, but I'd rather get another exhaust. So that's when I talked to Randy about the twin loop exhaust, and purchased it a week or two later. When I bought it from Randy though, I was unsure whether or not the exhaust will be louder than my other exhaust, or quiet like stock. So pretty much, there's only one way to find out..and that's by actually installing the exhaust on my car.
Next day, I brought my car to a local muffler shop to get it installed. When they installed the exhaust, they had to bend the piping a little bit in order for the exhaust to clear under my rear lip, without having to cut my bumper. (I'll take some pics later) After that, I paid my $70 and I left the shop to try out my new exhaust
The sound of the exhaust is quiet (like stock) but deeper (cops can't tell the difference). And it doesn't sound like crap or anything. Nice and deep sound before 3000 RPM, but then after 3K RPM, the exhaust gets louder, but not loud enough to get attention from the cops. I even hit 6000RPM with that exhaust in front of a cop and he didn't pull me over
Now to get my ticket signed off by a cop)
When I took my car to a local cop to get my ticket signed off, he checked to see if I had a cat, and he told me to hold the car at 3000RPM, so I did. After he heard my exhaust once, he immediately signed it off. problem solved guys. now you dont have to go back to stock.
more pics will be up shortly, just as soon as I get my car back from the shop

Did you have to get the exhaust modified just because you had a rear lip or was it bad fitment to begin with?

Do you have a sway bar? I have a OBX Twin Loop, and I cant fit a sway bar with it. Looking for another muffler, and I like the twin loop idea. I need it to be semi-quiet.
