which exedy clutch
Is there any way to tell the difference between the exedy race and exedy oe clutches?? A buddy has one not in a box, and we're trying to figure which one it is.

Re: which exedy clutch (Boosthead)
Most times the middle of the disc is thicker and the PP is heavier. Also the springs on the inside of the disc are bigger but check out some clutch websites or even parts websites and just look at the pics of the different exedy clutches. Just beware of generic pics.

Re: which exedy clutch (jigga008_99)
obviously the race clutch is gonna be better than the oe spec one.
oe spec is just a stock replacement = feels like stock, no performance enhancement.
race clutch= stiffer pedal, earlier engagement, great for performance and harnessing the power of a modified motor.

The race pressure plate is plated, the OE is not. The performance disc friction material is not completely black. The OE disc uses Valeo linings. I am not sure about the performance disc.
