Damn Compensator Arms Won't Come Out!!!
Hey guys,
We're trying to get my rear disc swap done but we can't get the compensator arms off on either side! Each arms' bolts are frozen on the bushings. I sprayed them live crazy with wd40. They won't budge, we've tried with wrenches, sockets, pipes, and air wrenches to get them off but they won't move.
I think I can effectively cut the side that attaches to the frame with a dremel but I'm worried about leaving half a threaded bolt stuck in the frame that we won't be able to get out.
Does anyone have any experience with cutting them off?
Or
I'll go to my local mechanic right down the street and see what he says. If he can get them out, do you think it's safe to drive the car less than half a mile to my house with no compensator arms at all? Would that bend/strain/ruin anything?
Help!
