You're working under the car w/ only a jack supporting it? Yikes man, not a good idea. Get some jackstands to put under there, then use the jack as described above.

If it comes to the worst, take the surgical approach, and disassemble the entire rear LCA and put it back together from the inside-out.
thanks guys, I used the emergency jack to lift up the LCA and it went in.
I have jack and stands but I can't jack the car any higher. I was using the tow hook as support and the stands wouldn't go in place. I couldn't find any other support point to lift up the car.
anyhow, my itr sway bar is finally in!!

yeah, i ran into that problem as well. When i threw new shocks and springs on my teg, i hadda cut the lcas out dure to frozen bolts that not evena shop could get out. I cut and drilled them ***** out, then threw some JDM ITR LCA's in there, so much lighter, and a bit bigger, hadda throw ITR Shocks on the back to.
With the jack stand thing, what works best for me, is jack the car up initaily on the inside point of the LCA, then you can throw the jack on the side just in front of the tire, where its supposed to go. Sam goes with the front.
