Civic back on the road, but I need to setup Vtec
Hey guys, I recently got my civic back on the road after having my engine break a while back.
The car is a 99' DX Hatchback. It had a stock d16y7 in it, and I swapped in a d16y8. Since I didn't have all the parts I just did a straight swap without vtec.
I have the intake manifold and exhaust manifold, I just need to know what else is required and recommended.
I want to also be able to boost in the future, but right now I'm looking to tune up and have a healthy naturally aspirated engine.

You'll need at least a 99-00 P2P ECU. Then you'll need to wire up VTEC, knock sensor and convert your IACV to 2 wire (if you are 5 speed). Depending on your exhaust manifold you'll need to extend your secondary oxygen sensor.

Thanks, any threads you know of that could help with installation of this stuff?
