B16A Swap ????????????
i'm putting in a 2000 civic si engine into a 96 lx civic. What is the difference between obd2 and obd2b? i have the 2000 civic si complete engine wire harness and a p2t ecu. will i need anything else?

you will need the engine, engine harness, p2t ecu, tranny, mounts (all three), and shift linkage..
what you will need to do, is wire up vtec from the firewall to the ECU, and knock sensor.
vtec oil pressure sensor - D6 pin out and ground (tap into grn/wht wire)
vtec spool solenoid - A4 pin out.
knock sensor goes to D3 pin-out.

yea i have a complete swap. do i still need to rewire anything even if i have the civic si complete engine wire harness?

you just plug up your ecu from the engine harness, then from there, grab a wire, and wire the knock sensor and vtec wires to your ECU. and it's easy as hell
hmm, i'm looking into this swap too but this is confusing me. If he has the ECU and the complete wire harness, shouldn't the harness already have all the wires tapped in it already, like the vtec and knock sensor wires? Or are those wires not on the harness itself?

The 99-00 Si ECU will not plug into your engine harness. The 96-98 plugs differ slightly from the 99-00. If you had a 99-00 LX then you could use the 00 Si harness and it would be a plug and play swap. You will need an OBD2 to OBD2.5 adapter to use that ECU. You'll need to use your stock LX harness and add the wiring for the VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch and the knock sensor.
