Default Clutch or tranny problem?

Theres this noise i be hearing out of the car and when I just posting it. it sounds like a fan noise but when i press down on the clutch the sound goes away. Another problem I have is that my **** keeps on popping out of second gear, but it only pops out on low rpm. I am wondering if this is a tranny problem or a clutch problem, and is the noise coming out of the car related to the problem with the gear popping out.

How many trannies have you fried Mista?

You seem to know EVERYTHING about Honda trannies. Makes me feel dumb. Thanks for helping us all out.

totally fried?

Only 2 from diff explosions.

11 shifter forks replaced, only 4 have been mine.

Only one bad synchro, but it was due to last shifter fork explosion.

is that the reason why my engine is making noise or is that why my car is popping out of second gear. What is the estimate price on fixing that?

Man, no wonder you know everything about trannies.

Hey, maybe you can make a suggestion, but maybe not (since you're a solely SOHC guy).

Since I put my Jackson Racing supercharger on my B18C1, I can't get the intermediate shaft off without removing the replaced alternator bracket (one of the shaft bolts is blocked by the new bracket).

SOOOO..., in order to do any transmission work, I have to take the tranny loose, and the three right engine/transmission mounts, and "tilt" the engine down and slide the tranny off BOTH the input shaft and intermediate shaft. Needless to say, it's a GIANT pain in the butt to get it off, AND to realign BOTH shafts in order to get it back on, and the "play" in the intermediate shaft actually only makes it harder.

Got any suggestions?

Shawn
