cfk sensor problems HELP
Lately i've been having problems with cel codes i have them all done except i had a cel for cfk sensor (the wires got cut from the alternator belt), i had one laying around so i just put it on, and right when i start it up the codes still there. I cleared the code so it cant be that. Dont know what else to look for. I have to smog my car to register it any suggestions are appreciated! thanks

Re: cfk sensor problems HELP
Has anyone done this. Im also throwing codes P1336 and P1337. Crankshaft sensor is f***ed up. Can i bypass it even tho its a OBD-2 engine and ECU. The bypass says its for JDM motors with no CFK sensor on them.

Yes. That trick will work. Its for people running JDM or OBD1 engines with an OBD2 ECU. The JDM and OBD1 engines aren't equipped therefore the ECU's don't look for it. Just need to trick the ECU itself into thinking it is there and working.

Re: cfk sensor problems HELP
have u actually done this before? I dont want to do it and have more problems. My motor has the sensor, its just fu88ed up and i dont want to pay 100 buxs for it. Is it safe to bypass it with no problems?

Re: cfk sensor problems HELP
Yes i did it on my JDM b16a and it worked great before my car was in limp mode and ran like ****... if your crank shaft position sensor is working properly the two should have very similar ranges in voltage.... it obviously isnt necessary if it isnt included in japan its mainly an additional effort for emissions in the usa....

Re: cfk sensor problems HELP
Emmanuel2112 the CKF mod will work for your situation. just remember to unplug the connector to the CKF sensor (near oil pump). if you leave it connected with the CKF mod done, you will throw a CEL code 9. you can search for my post and find out why.

Re: cfk sensor problems HELP
I'm running a b16a sir2 in my 99 ex coupe with the stock d16y8 harness, my car runs like crap cold (like really rich) and idles a little high when warm. I just ran my buddy's 99 civic Si p2t and am getting codes P1337 and P0118. Is this mod necessary for my current setup? and why?

Re: cfk sensor problems HELP
I had that code for a while. Mine is a JDM bottom end also but you do not need that sensor to run. Just like everyone else is saying it is fine to bypass and you will be code free afterwards. I used that exact guide actually.

Re: cfk sensor problems HELP
that **** dont work, i tryed it , nothing changed, had like 4 people look at it and say "yea thats right but idk why its not workin?" so scratch that bs, doin it the right way. for my 99 LS setup in a ej8, just a nice head setup, fuel rail, and thats that, obd2a ls ecu. so im throwing P1337 Csf sensor no signal.
and
P0336 CP Sensor A circuit range performance
so i went to acura and bought a oilpump, gear ring w/cfk sensor gear, cfk sensor, wire bracket, not included, and you gotta get the key for the gears to lock. i just went to a tool shop and bought one and filed it down to the proper size ;0)
now i have to wire in the sensor straight to the wires that are already cut from trying that stupid *** trick. FIXING THAT BOO BOO FOR GOOD!
