Default Cam Gears

I know what the cam gears are and all the that......But what exactly do they do?.........I want 2 maximize what lil performance I can out my D15.....Is it worth buying the cam gear? And do you need a Expert Honda Rocket Scientists to Tune it Properly? By tune I just mean make it perform better than the stock one and have it not cause problems............Thanks a lot

like i said ... just keep it like it is... no reason to waste money if ur going to build it... jsut save ur money... one thing ive found out... unless u fix ur car up the right way the first time.. ull run into alot of problems in the process if u do it all slow... so just save ur $$$ and wait

To answer your actual question, the cam gear would allow you to adjust cam timing, and in turn, produce more power. You need a dyno in order to make adjustments properly, and to make sure the changes you're making are positive ones. Whether it's worth the money, is up to you.
