LOL, i hope you don't think that the jdm 81mm piston rings are different than usdm ones

They come in two sizes, oem 81mm, and oversize for bored cylinders

it's all good. better that you asked it and confirmed what you knew, than to not ask it and screw something up

btw, the jdm gsr has unique pistons as far as compression goes. Stock with a gsr head (P72) compression is the same as the usdm ITR at 10.6:1 compression. With a PR3 head, compression would be down to 10.5:1.......it is very very close to a usdm ITR (P73) piston

yeah i knew the pistons would yield higher compression than the USDM GSR. if i get it, this block will be used with my B16 head. thanks guys

All B series 1.6-1.8 use the same rings. That is assuming you have normal pistons that use 1.0 1.2 2.8mm thickness rings. But a set of rings for a b16 should fit a b18 LS and a B18 VTEC or a B17. All the same... Pistons too, they're interchangeable. SRP or others may sell pistons as being for a B16, 17 or 18, but they'll work on any motor.
