Are all D16 blocks the same?

Are all D16 blocks the same?
The reason I'm asking is before I have a D16A6 Block and a Z6 head sitting in my garage. instead of rebuilding the D16Y5 in my HX now I was just going to rebuild a motor with my spare parts.
Anyways....main question. Is the A6, Z6, and Y8 block all the same?

they are not the same. some have iron girdle some are aluminum...
