95 civic dx ignition system issue
Hi guys i have a 95civic dx coupe. Everything has been going smoothly until today. Its bone stock no mods 5speed. Today i turned on my car in the evening and it made a weird noise and started making a bad smell. I thoughtit was just the air so i went ahead and went home. On my way home i started noticing a sudden loss of power in my car. Like it was bogging or something. And started idling really low like to the point where it would almost stall. I got home and checked for any signs and couldnt find anyting. I went obline and searchedfor my problems and i read to check for engie nisfire by removingthe wires from the plugs while the car is on. I did that to plug #3 and 4 it sounded good.then i went and did #2 and the car stalled. When i tried turning it on it would just crank but now it didnt turn on at all. :{
I figured i burned my coil cap so my friend gave me his old distriutor and wires and i started swapping stuff and itdidnt turnon he then told me that the ignition module on that one was bad. So i hit up thiss guy from here all the way in pomona and picked up a new dizzy. Went home and put it on and same thing. I changed the wires and now the car turns on but it just sounds horrble. Like every thing is misfiring. Lol. Can it be my sark plugs? Thanks.

Does the CEL work?
Removing a plug wire with the engine running is one of the best ways to blow the coil inside the distributor. Avoid that test in the future.
Check for bright white spark at all four plugs.
Check whether all four injectors spray fuel.
Check the mechanical timing.
Compression test the cylinder.
