Great article! Ive currently have a 94 civic esi with an A/T transmission wich i would also like to convert into a manual... I also plan on a motor b18 motor swap in the future.... Should i just do it in all one project or would it be ok to do the trans conversion first?

diversity210,
im hoping for some help. i own/operate a shop in burlington ONT, canada. i have a cust that has bought a disaster and i really want him to drive and enjoy it. it is a 95 civic having had a manual trans and d15b engine put in; trouble is it runs crappy, won't pass an emission test and the fellow that did the swap is AWOL. I can't make heads or tails of what was done electrically during the conversion. could you contact me so that i can give you all the details there is a lot of stuff that we have sorted out but there is a lot that im not sure of what the other guy was doing. Thanks in advance user: ownersteve

Re: 92-95 Civic automatic to manual transmission conversion (parts and helpful notes)
good thread and very informative. however if I may add my two cents since I am currently in the middle of this same transformation I find it much easier and cost effective both for time and ease of installation by using a stainless steel braided clutch line running from the master cylinder all the way to the clutch slave cylinder. I completely agree though with the over all cost of this swap being performed. since having my engine out ive replaced every single seal and gasket on the engine and also repaired and rewired sensors while the engine harness is completely out of the vehicle. I also recommend cleaning of bolts and components. it will make life way easier when putting everything back together. also put every bolt and nut with its associated component into zip lock bags and mark the bags to which matching component they relate too. your life will be much easier and less stress. great info though.
