Also note that the seats have airbags (yellow connectors and yellow flexible wire harness covers), as well as OPDS sensors.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT touch that yellow wire. Don't cut it, don't try to plug it into anything, nothing. Just wrap some electrical tape around the end of the connector, and tuck it somewhere that it won't get cut by the rails. That's the SRS plug - little bit of power to the wrong wire, and you'll ruin your seats.

Re: 01 Acura TL seats into 98 Civic Help?
So, more amateur trouble...
I screwed up the fabrication of both mounts. Don't ask, it involves an idiot with a quick trigger finger on the sawzall. And when you cut off too much metal, the only way to get it back is to weld it or start over. Given the awkwardness of my cuts, I am thinking i should start over.
So Im brainstorming how to make new ones, and want some opinions. I am thinking ill buy 6 inches or so of stainless steel square pipe. probably about 2"x2", 1/4 inch thick. Then I will cut it in half (the long way) so that I have two 1" high rails, 6 inches long. Then I will drill holes and BAM! A sweet set of custom mounts.
I have never really done anything like this before, so if I doing something idiotic please feel free to tell me.

The best example of a diy guide is to follow this guys lead. He swapped RSX seats into his civic coupe. I'm not talking about swapping the same seats, but to follow his method of how he mounted it up to his car. GL

Unfortunately, there are 10 per page, and 100+ pages, and there appears to be very little order in the way they were put up. So whatever year you are looking for is there, but it will take time to find lol

Re: 01 Acura TL seats into 98 Civic Help?
Not that anyone cares, but I didnt just forget about this. It took a while, and was probably more trouble than it was worth, but I have the power wired up! Turns out, the control module for the driver side seat was still intact under the seat, so all I did was take my handy dandy multimeter and test wires for HOURS AND HOURS until i figured out which ones matched. It all works now!
Also, for future referenece... It is probably not the best idea to install power seats in a 2dr coupe... my backseat is basically unusable lol. I am thinking about doing a rear seat delete.
Pics soon to come of the BA seats installed!
