The Monitor Catalyst and Monitor EVAP shows Not Ready. This was the results of installing a new battery. My HONDA mechanic changed it prior to my NY Inspection. Now it won't pass. I've driven the car nearly 250 miles... tried several suggested techniques and it still isn't fixed. (I was told the check engine light, with the ignition switch on, will flash 5 times before it goes out until this issue clears out).

I'm annoyed that they change the battery first. But my real issue is that I need the NYS inspection and I don't know what to do. The mechanic says to drive some more and come back... really?!

Please tell me what must be done?
