Default I lost my keys...all of them!

I lost my keys to my '04 civic. What do I do? I've heard you take the VIN etc. to the dealership and they can make new keys. ANy cheaper alternatives?

You're going to have to contact your dealership. They'll probably require you to verify ownership and title information will probably be needed. Then they'll probably get you new locks and a new key-start module.

Go to the dealer. simple as that. they will most likely charge you half an hour for labor for programming the ecu.

Lol ya. I have the one I keep and the one my brother has just incase of emergency or if he borrows my car.

I'm pretty careful with my keys.

Haha re-flash the ECU?

Take your VIN and insurance to the dealership.

It's like $13 for a new key from Honda. And it works for everything the old one did.

Dealer can cut key w/ VIN only. 04 civic will need to be programed with HDS (Honda Diagnostic System)...Most dealers charge .5 - 1.0 hrs to 'program'.
