Blown Airbags replacement question
hey guys, need your help. I got a 2001 honda civic and i just purchased it with blwon aribags. If i wanted to change everythign out and have it working like new again, what do i need to change out so that i dont get an airbag check engine light anymore?
I think i need to replace the steering wheel airbag, the passenger side airbage, change out the module, change out both seatbelts. DO i need to buy a new clock spring or purchase the front crossmember impact sensors? please let me know. thanks guys.

Re: Blown Airbags replacement question
After a collision where the seat belt tensioners deployed, replace these items:
- Seat belt tensioners
- Seat belt buckle tensioners
- SRS unit
- Front impact sensors
After a collision where the front airbag(s) deployed, replace these items:
- SRS unit
- Deployed airbag(s)
- Seat belt tensioners
- Seat belt buckle tensioners
- Front impact sensors
After a collision where the side airbag(s) deployed, replace these items:
- SRS unit
- Deployed side airbag(s)
- Side impact sensor(s) for side(s) deployed
During the repair process, inspect these areas:
- All SRS wire harnesses. Replace, don't repair, any damaged harnesses.
- Inspect the cable reel for heat damage. If there is any damage, replace the cable reel.
So, yeah, you were on the right track. Good luck with it!
