Don't bondo it.
Buy a rear bumper. Cut out sections to fill the fog light areas.
Look up plastic welding, basically melting the sections together. (Google DIY bumper repair or similar search)
Maybe use a little bit of filler to get it 'perfect'.

well I've got em1 parts all over the place so I could just use that rear bumper if that's the route I go but I figure with bondo if it didn't turn out good I could punch it out from the inside and just sand it and there'd be no foul but if I start plastic welding and botch it then it'd be a harder fix

plastic welding is easy . theres many youtube vids
or you can just cut the plastic parts and expoxy them on. make sure to grind up the areas for good grip. them you can use a small can bondo chop fiberglass filler then regular filler then spot putty then filler primer
