2014 accord battery issues
I recently bought a 2014 accord lx last fall. Car was 16k on engine when I bought it. Now around 19k. Been reliable until it started getting cold outside. I found it to be the battery. I don't even know why Honda put such a small battery for a newer car like this. I usually have the car on when I'm sitting inside so it's not like draining the battery. Even after a 10-15 minute to the grocery store the battery would die. I found myself stranded at least 3 times in the past couple of months. It was getting annoying.
I had a duralast gold gold battery from my 93 accord ( made in late 2015) and is pretty much new. I've read that people have upgraded the battery to a bigger one and tried it out. Well it's been a few days and same thing. I'm stranded again. I think the new battery is rated at 800 cca but I'm starting to think that maybe it's something else. It's been around 30-40 degrees lately so I don't think the extreme cold has anything to do with it. As soon as I get a jump I'm taking this thing in to get everything checked. Car is still under warranty but I hate Honda customer service.

Re: 2014 accord battery issues
Not a battery issue but a charging issue, with engine running you should have 13-14v at the battery with alternator charging. If you have about 12v or less then your alternator isn't charging. If it's not charging you can take and out and get it tested to verify its faulty. Then go from there.

Re: 2014 accord battery issues
The issue is what will happen if the battery dead or you unplugged it for while !
My friend just bought an 2014 Accord Hybrid Touring, its really a great car but after many days he disable the auxiliary battery for a while, and after plugging it again the infotainment system big screen ( Above ) just keep showing "This navigation system lost power and is acquiring its location.... etc " and the audio panel buttons become unresponsive !!
I did Self Diagnosing and everything is fine, there are no Hardware issues ...
The small touch screen works fine and the radio also working well after entering its code, Just the big screen stuck at "This navigation system lost power .... etc " and audio panel buttons become unresponsive.
Did you experienced this issue when your battery had been dead ?? What i can do to solve this ?? a software or something else ??
