Questionable Oil Leak
My 06 Accord with the 6 cylinder engine has about 113k miles. I had the timing belt changed at a local shop in Florida last year at around 97k miles.
I just took my car in for an oil change at a Honda dealer in CT and was told that one of the seals is leaking onto the timing belt. I don't know if any of the seals were replaced when the belt was changed. My garage floor has no signs of any leaks. I checked my oil level prior to the oil change service and the level was down slightly after going about 4k miles. Is it possible for the mechanic to notice the leak if all they are doing is changing my oil? I wasn't charged anything extra for the inspection and I'm questioning the diagnosis which involves replacing the timing belt again.
