03 accord p0705. car will not run.
hi. im new to this board. not new to forums and not new to cars but have really never played with hondas.
my car is an 03 accord
2.4 l automatic
170,000.
recently bought this vehicle. i had the oil control rings let go on a road trip. ended up having an 05 2.4 with 40,000 k installed. guy who installed it blew the ecm so that was also replaced along with the matching ignition.
car ran really nice for almost 2 weeks. then one rainy evening as i was driving the d4 light started flashing as well as the battery light would flicker on and off on and off til eventually it stopped. the d4 light stayed on i drove the car easily to my destination about 10k.
hopped in an hour later and the car started but ran rough an eventually died. left it for the night, went back to it the next day, it started and i drove it home. seem to run ok but i was really easy on it.
trying to diagnose it sometimes it would start sometimes nothing. with the ignition on i could hear a clicking noise from the shiftbox inside the car. pulled the covers and glovebox off. the white plastic switch would flick up and down up and down maybe this is the shift lock?? the battery light would flicker as well.
the car will start sometimes and runs somewhat ok when cold but after a few minutes its very rough and smells very rich.
these are the codes i am getting. some may have been saved from the previous car this was in.
p0705. transmission range sensor circuit malfunction.
p0335 crankshaft position sensor a circuit malfunction
p0135 o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 1
p0122 throttle position sensor switch a circuit low input
i have searched and searched but am kind of stuck right now. any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you have some sort of an electrical issue. As a guess I'd look for grounding problems and a bad alternator first.
Also, I'm moving this to the Accord section since it seems like it would be much more relevant there.

ive spent a bit of time looking, all the grounds i can see are clean and tight. i noticed when i recieved the car back from the mechanic that he had not replaced the battery to block ground. hence the reason i believe he blew the original ecu. where exactly is the transmission range sensor. sometimes while in park the d3 light will come on, sometimes the reverse light. if anyone has a picture of this sensor that would be great. ive searched to no avail.

this is the most messed up thing ive ever seen! i pull the ecu, dump about half a cup of water out of it, open it and its covered in mold.
looks like aan ecu replacement and i gotta find out if this thing is leaking or if i bought this ecu this way
