My 2000 Accord EX 6cyl 158k was running fine last night, this morning upon starting I noticed a serious misfire problem. Got me to work and back but used a quarter of a tank of gas in about 25 miles. Check Engine light doesn't obviously work. Believe last two codes have been there awhile... others new. Help!

300-306 are misfire. If everything shows misfire then it's hard to pin it on one cylinder, obviously. So it seems then like it is something common to all cylinders. Fuel supply. Coil. Camshaft timing. MAP or airflow sensor. Air box? Is the air filter ok? A severely clogged filter could hurt MPG.

Yeah, it misfires so bad it trembles. Happened overnight, ran fine last night. I added fuel and injector cleaner today, Seems mostly acceleration problem. Think it may be electrical, hard to say. Vibrates @ 60mph, trembles on idle and acceleration A lot of rain x 2days

P0300 — Random Misfire
P0303 Misfire Cyl. 3 Or Random Misfire
P0304 Misfire Cyl. 4 Or Random Misfire
P0305 Misfire Cyl. 5 Or Random Misfire
P0306 Misfire Cyl. 6 Or Random Misfire
P1399 control Ignition system OR Misfire
P1491 EGR Valve Lift Insufficient Detected
P1739 3rd Clutch Pressure Switch Circuit
P1791 Vehicle Speed Sensor Range/Performance Problem
Two things to check.
Pull the coil packs and spark plugs off, keep them in order and look for a damaged coil pack(most likely the P1399 code) and an irregularly worn or gummed up spark plug. That will most likely be the faulty coil pack or wiring to it. Test all the coil packs and replace the plugs. If P1399 comes back then replace suspected coil pack.
Next is the EGR valve. Insufficient lift means the valve is not fully opening, If this is the case it will also cause misfire issues. Pull the valve and manually exercise it open and close. If there is carbon or soot built up inside the valve it can prevent it from fully opening. Clean all the EGR passages in the intake manifold. If the P1491 code comes back it may be that the solenoid inside the valve has gone bad, and the valve will need to be replaced.
3rd clutch pressure switch is a known issue on the 98-02 transmissions. It will most likely be leaking, replace. #14.If no leaks, check the wire harness. For damage, if none found the linear solenoid(#10) may need to be adjusted. This should only be done by a qualified AT specialist.
VSS may be dirty or it may be a fault in the wire harness. Pull both #15s and make sure they are clean of debris.
