h23a bluetop swap into 95 wagon.
I have been considering swapping an h23 bluetop into my 95 accord wagon. My question is how bad would it be if i kept the f series trans with the h23. I know the f series has long gears but is it that bad? Thanks in advance.

H23 BT will work fine with the Accord trans. H23s have the bore of the H22 and the stroke of the F22, so you don't lose any torque.
Problem with the H22 and Accord trans is the H22 is a high revving engine and needs the low gear ratios of the H22 trans to keep it within its powerband.

You'll most likely be going with a Hondata chipped ECU so vtec engagement is a somewhat fluid point, just make sure to use a Euro-R manifold too.
If this is a daily driver then the Accord trans might be the best option as you still have the shorter final drive even if you swap the 5th gear over to a M2B4/similar. As long as your synchros are still good and you can row the shifter how you want. Just put a LSD in there. For reference, a M2B4's 5th is only slightly taller than the P2U5's 4th gear. So drive at 65 on the freeway in 4th for awhile and see how you like it.
