Engine interference heard in speakers
I can hear engine interference in my car speakers. I own an '89 Accord and I just installed a new head unit. While the engine is running the speakers pick up engine noise and the pitch changes as the rpms increase. What can I do to alliviate this problem?

Check engine ground wires and also ground wires inside the passenger compartment. Also, make sure all the plugs and such are secured behind the Radio player.

Re: Engine interference heard in speakers (teamlegacy)
where can I find these ground wires? Where on the engine and where in the cab? This is a recent problem so I would guess it's something simple. Any other suggestions?

I had that problem in my old Civic. It turned out to be lack of proper shielding on the wires. The EMI from the engine was being picked up by the power cables and heard through the stereo. Go to http://www.monstercable.com and look for some shielded power cables and see if those help.
