CB7 oil leak help
Hey guys, just picked up a new Accord and have a few questions.
In the picture attached, I have circled where I have a pretty bad oil leak. I just cant find exactly where it is originating from though. I have read that a common spot to leak from on these motors is the distributor seal? Seeing if you guys would have a better idea of common leak areas in the area. The valve cover is not leaking. There is quite a bit under the distributor, under the upper radiator hose (where it goes into the block), and on the transmission casing. Ill post better pictures of the oil later tonight after work.
Also, the IACV is not hooked correctly. The bottom right nipple, is hooked up to nothing. I think this is the coolant line but could be wrong, anyone know where this connects to? Causes idle surging when COLD, from 2000rpm to about 200rpm. Goes away when at operating temp. And a high pitched whistle when driving.
I picked the car up for $1200, near mint interior and sound system. 245k on chassis and a supposed 81k on newer engine. Cant confirm though. Exedy stage 1 clutch and 11lbs flywheel. Not a bad pick up. Thanks guys.

Re: CB7 oil leak help
2 possibilities for the dizzy leak: housing to cyl. head-there's an external o ring, very easy to replace. Could also be the interal oil seal inside the dizzy itself and you will be oil coming into the cap and will find its way out @ the cap seal. If the inside is dry then it's prob. the o ring.
Yeah, the idle surge is from the FITV to the right of the IACV not getting coolant. FITV needs coolant to open and close, so get the coolant lines sorted out and bleed the system when you are done.

Re: CB7 oil leak help
I had to replace the internal O-Ring my my 90's distributor because it was still leaking a bit after I replaced the outer O-Ring. Its a piece of cake. There is a how-to around here with pics. Good luck.
