Removing passenger side axle/installing axle seal on a 89 accord lx-i
Dunno if anyone remembers but I posted in here about a leak a few days back. Friend of mine's dad took a look at it and said the axle seal (Input shaft seal? somthing like that) is bad and is causing the leak. I tried to put a new one in today but I could'nt get the blasted axle out.
I changed the entire axle about 6 months ago with some help, the way we did it is we took the axle apart at the cv joint because it was near impossible getting a few bolts off of the suspension to take it apart in one piece.
Can anyone give me a step-by-step guide/pictures or anything on how to do this? I'm trying to get it done by monday but I usually dont do to much stuff on my car alone.
Thanks,
Art

You should be able to remove the cotter pin and loosen the balljoint nut, then use a big hammer to smack the balljoint where the stud passes thru the lower arm.
After the joint gets loose remove the nut and raise the caliper and rotor and swing it back; then use a big pry bar to "pop" the inner joint out of the trans case, you should have enough room to replace the seal without removing the axle completely.[not needed to loosen the "wishbone"]
