What holds the Cv joint into the transmision (5speed Passenger side) Ive got it all ready to come out is there a clip?

If you are referring to the axle then yes, there is a ring that sits in a groove on the axle. When placing the axle in the transmission, you will feel it snap in slightly. Without this ring, the axle will slide in and out slightly, causing the axle seal to leak.

It is labeled "spring clip" below
