Accord '93 Cooling System
Greetings,
Just wanted to know if there is a bleeding valve in the block to purge out any captive air in the cooling system in the Honda Accord '93 engine.
I replaced the upper redaitor hose and as you know you lose some coolant.
Thanks,
Ista

Re: Accord '93 Cooling System (istabrak)
Nope there is not.
The only thing to do is to remove your radiator cap, start the car, heat on blast and let it burp itself out.
But i dont think replacing upper radiator hose would be a big deal. If you did get some air in the radiator, it probably came out when you added coolant to the radiator. You did add the coolant, right?

Yes there is. Check that pictire of a high quality polished engine in the show car. It's right ontop of the water inlet on the upper left
you can barely see it here too.

Re: Accord '93 Cooling System (HONCORD)
Greetings
Many thanks to all of you. This is really helpful.
In the diagram, could you please give me the number that points to that bleeding valve?
Also, is it on top of the place where the upper radiator hose is connected to the engine (i.e. the ts housing).
regards,
Ista

i wasn't able to see the part number on the diagram, but if you look at this pic, i circled the part that is being talked about.
you will need to loosen that, but not take it off. then you will need to run the engine w/ the heater on and wait until the fan kicks in and coolant is running steadily out of the bleeder hole.
i hope this helps.
EDIT: didn't realize the pic was going to come out that big.
