99 Accord V6 won't start after timing belt install. (Searched) Please help.
Hey y'all, long time lurker, first time poster. The car is a 99 Accord V6 with 100k miles on it. We're the original owners and it's run fine ever since we first bought it. Had some extra time the last couple of days so I decided to change the timing belt, water pump, and ps & alt belts.
After buttoning everything back up, now it won't start. It cranks, but it won't fire. Here's what I've tried so far:
-triple checked that timing is correct (crank and both cams all match up at TDC)
-checked the battery (seems to be ok, 12.5V and it starts my VW Golf just fine)
-sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body but it didn't start, so likely a spark issue
-changed spark plugs and gapped them to spec according to the Hayne's manual.
-changed plug wires
-changed the cap and rotor
-checked for spark on every plug (getting blue sparks)
-checked the coil and it's getting battery voltage at the harness. the primary and secondary resistance are also within spec
-checked the ICM and it's also getting battery voltage at the harness
-scanned for codes, but no codes for the crank position sensor or TDC sensor
The main relay seems to be working as it clicks once after the CEL turns off The fuel pump sounds like it's working as well since I could hear it when I turn the key to ignition on.
If I start it and give it gas while keeping the key in the start position, it'll rev up, but if I release the key, it dies.
Am I missing anything? Please help. I'm at wit's end.
