'99 Accord Coupe A/C problem, w/o climate control
'99 Accord Coupe 4-cyl Auto without climate control
--------------------------------------------------
With the blower turned on at any speed, pressing the A/C switch does not turn on the light in the switch, compressor clutch or the radiator fans. Blower works fine at any speed. Systems has freon in it. Fuses are not blown.
Turning the front window defrost switch turns the compressor on, both radiator fans, and the A/C switch has the small green LED lit as it should. (I can turn the compressor on/off with the A/C switch in this mode)
The A/C pressure switch on the high side tests okay. Service manual flowchart asks to test the A/C thermostat, which I can't find on the car. It's supposed to have a 5 pin connector with 3 wires and supposed to be located on the evaporator box. All I see is a 2 wire connector going into the evaporator and their colors don't match the wiring schematic. Is this the thermostat?
Strangely enough, the front window defrost switch's orange light is now always on even when ignition key is turned off and key is out.
Has anyone seen this before? Is this an ECM problem?
