86 honda accord start problem need a little help
Ok im no expert in dealing with hondas at all, but i have a theory of whats wrong.
Ok so when you try to turn the car over with the key the starter wont kick over, so i instantly went and checked teh starter and the silenoid both work, so i charged the battery and tried again and nothing. I tried in park and in neutral (car usually cranks when in neutral) still nothing so i put the key into the on position and i took a 12v wire and jumped from the battery to the starter to see if it would crank, and after 2 turns the car cranked right up.
So here is what my delima is i know about how mazda engines and electrical is setup but ive never even messed with a honda. So on my mx3 this problem would be the neutral switch but my mx3 is a manual, the accord is an automatic. So im guessing there is still some type of switch, maybe a park switch? if so if anyone know's where this is located or what else i might wanna check hell if you've had something similar to this problem id appreciate any help i can get.
Thanks in advance

yes, there IS a switch... won't crank when the car is in any drive gear or reverse...
did you also check your fuses? problem could be there, too...
and http://www.3geez.com has more answers on the topic of third gen accords than honda-tech... give them a shot...
