Default turbo newbie : need advice

like the topic says im new to the turbo thang. i traded my allmotor setup for a t3 turbo kit. everything is done but it won't boost past 3lbs then it seems once its put out boost the engine starts to sputter. code 3 (map senson) i'll fix that but why only 3 lbs? leaks? i don't believe the the vaccume because the idle is superb. the setup is a ls/vtec, stock bottomend, pnp b16 head, stock injectors, stock fuel system, vortech fmu, vafc soon to come out in favor of hondata. help please.

Check off the dumb idiotic almost forgotten things first.

Are the check valves installed properly. I cant suggest any tips since I didnt go the check valve/missing link and FMU setup. I chose to go with the hack. Obviously from the code you are throwing, something is wrong in that area.

A missing link is a piece of harware that basically does the same thing a check valve does. It goes between your map sensor and TB.

did you do a comp. test & a leak down test?
and look at your wastgate and bov see if there doing there job right
your going to need more fuel bigger injectors would help and you have to get some kind of vafc or afc being to lean is not good

i do have the missing link on there. i thought that was called a check valve.

what do i look for when checking the bov and waste gate? im currently runnin a vafc on it. i have the fuel turned up to +9 across the board because when i runnin my hi comp b20 bottemend he said that with obd0 you can only go up to +9 with throwing a 3 or 5 code. so thats where i set it. but i have honda S200BN that's going on next month.

when i get it all the bugs out, without injectors and hondata can i run around 7lbs the way it sits. and where should i have my timing set? i don't wanna get tuned until until i have my hondata in and the engine broke-in. it only has like 30 miles on it.
