Default LS/Vtec turbo, my impressions, your opinions

I finished my LS/vtec turbo about a month ago and have been driving it as my daily driver since. I love driving it! It seems like it has so much more power than my B16 turbo did although I only rev it to 7200 I feel like Im missing out on something.
At the track I ran a 13.1 @ 106 but blew a wastegate gasket on my run. I was runnning 6.5 to 7 psi with inline pump 12:1 FMU, and missing link map sensor bypass

Here is a little backround on the setup...

B16a2 head stock cams OEM headgasket
B18B block completely stock
GSR oil pump
GSR trans
Max-rev turbo (57 trim .63 A/R) manifold and DP

As far as my next step im not really sure what to do, should I Put in bigger injectors and V-AFC hack(I have the V-afc and 450cc injectors) then get rid of the FMU and missing link or should I just spend the money on a standalone like AEM or hondata?

Also what kind of boost should I be running with this setup?...Im pretty sure my compression works out to be 9.5:1.

Oh yeah my goal is to have a low 12 second car. Any opinions will be appreciated...also where to go to get it tuned would be nice im in northeast PA.

Thanks!

Well if he's running the stock bottom end I don't think thats too safe at much higher rpm's, but then again what do I know....

My vote is build the bottom end a little, and get hondata. Or at the very least do one of the two. I think either way you will see a lot more power, but your already makin some good power.

Here is another question......I just got my hands on some 310cc RC injectors. Should I just put them in foir the time being to see how it runs? (I got them for free)

Correct me if im wrong but I should only be bringing it to 7200 or 7500 at the most with the stock bottom end. Like bitzbp said.

Well I guess I'll have to pick up a diffrent ECU for summer slam next weekend and see if revving it will blow it up or not......I managed to get a trailer so I don't have to worry about driving 2 and a half hours home if it blows. The car does seem to feel great right before I hit rev limiter so I have a feeling revving it will give me a bettter pass on the 1/4. As for daily driving I don't rev past 4 grand im a big puss.

I just finished a 92 EG with a GSR swap in it. The motor is pretty much stock except for a set of arp studs and a skunk manifold. I am running a smacll precision sc50 on it. @7psi I ended up runing 12.2 @110 with a 1.7 60ft. I had to let off at the end of the track because one of the slicks had a hole in it and leaked all the air out. I think you should def. try to get some more fuel in that motor, when it comes to turbo, I dont think running rich isn't all that bad. Also, the fmu setup works great, I know people that are using fmu's on 10 second setups. Get a set of slicks and some bigger injectors, you wont be disapointed.

Put them in and the vafc, dont run the shitty dsm's that everybody talks about. I guarantee you will be running 12's in no time.
