Re: STC dbb hunter turbo + db8 gsr = grocery gettin street car build
My area got a crazy amount of snow. Hasn't snowed this much here in almost a 100 years! Typically it might snow once a year and usually doesn't even stick to the roads. Anyways I finished up relocating my battery and mounted my catch can. I decided to go with a battery junction block up front, it worked out pretty well I think. Only thing I'm waiting on now is -10AN fitting for the can itself. Pretty happy with how everything turned out. The pics should be pretty self explanatory. Let me know if you have any questions.

Forgot to mention I picked up this super handy crimping tool off eBay for under $20. I've always wanted one and it's awesome for making your own battery cables. Highly recommended

Thanks. Here's a link to the exact one I got. It's very well built.

With the battery relocated, you now have a live cable connected straight to the battery which runs nearly the entire length of the car. If the cable rubs against anything, becomes crushed in the event of an accident or anything else you will probably have a car fire on your hands. Adding a fuse close to the battery is just cheap and safe insurance.
Im just running a fuse and holder like this. Cheap and it works.
A battery box wouldnt be a bad idea either. Makes it easier for throwing stuff in the truck and not having to worry about bumping the battery terminals.

Thanks for the tips drmix! I'll grab one of those fuses. 100amp is good enough?
I'll probably eventually switch to an AGM battery so I don't have to worry about this wet cell battery venting too. Yeah a battery box is a good call too. Thanks again man.

Nice job with the oil catch can! I really like the filter on the top! To me result really much cleaner than the little classic one on standard catch cans....
Can I ask you to show me a pic of the inside if u have one? Did u baffled it? I'm building one very similar but I have no idea on how to baffle it, or if I have to separate the ports coming from the engine block from the vents coming from valve cover.
BTW really clean setup! congratulations!

Ive been running the 100 amp for a few years without issues. I did buy a 125 amp fuse at the same time just in case the 100 was too small (also to have a spare to keep in the car) but I havent had to use it yet.

Thanks a lot man!
So you basically made an L inside the box right? Did you make holes before welding? Just trying to to figure it out... there are so many setups on google images LOL

No problem man always happy to help. Yes I basically made an L inside the can. I drilled the holes before I welded it together using a 3/4" hole saw witch fits -10AN bungs perfectly.

Thanks! I have another question, not related to the catch can. I see that you do not run water into the IACV, does it cause any sort of problem to it's function?

I never run coolant lines to the iacv or throttle body and I've never had any problems at all. IMO running those coolant lines just heat soaks the intake manifold. Plus it's nice having fewer coolant lines running around, less chance of leaks and just overall more simple. As far as I know those coolant lines are only there for very cold climates, and it's rarely super cold here and when it is my car just sits in the garage.

Re: STC dbb hunter turbo + db8 gsr = grocery gettin street car build
Thanks man.
Yeah that hellcat would probably be a good race with my old cbr1000rr with 168rwhp. I miss that bike sometimes, but then I think about all the times I almost died riding it and things come into prospective again lol.
Thanks I'm pretty happy with how it came out for my first catch can. I never figured out what was causing that noise it just mysteriously disappeared. Seriously I changed nothing and it just went away

Figured while I was at it I'd post pics of how I ran the lines to the catch can.
