Default Spoolin Cast Manifold with 4 bolt GT turbo

Hi,

Have a question to those in the know, has anyone ever run the Spoolin Performance Cast Manifold that Phil is offering? It is supposed to work with a 4 bolt GT turbo, its the first one I have heard off its kind on the market.

Please let me know of any experiences and feedback.

Im looking at possibly using this with a GT3076R on a stock b18c5, thanks!

The SP Cast is a decent piece, though over the years I've personally become spoiled with the Schedule 10 manifolds, especially for great turbos like the GT3076R.

Phil can chime in, but from the ones I've experienced, they didn't take too well to larger compressor covers like the GT30R without a bit of work on the block itself to get it to fit properly. I have found it was best for the GT3251Bs, GT3255 journal and ball-bearing turbochargers that didn't require as much work.

I'd look at his tubular log (Schedule 10) for his current turbo. Californiadad is currently running that manifold with some great success.

Good luck!

If I remember right, most cast manifolds, including the spoolin manifold, are based around a 5 bolt turbine housing.

Yeah I realise most cater to the 5 bolt, hence why im asking if anyone has used the 4 bolt.

Im not interested in a stainless welded manifold unfortunately, Id like to stick to cast. The toss up is between getting a regular cast manifold and get a GT3076r and replace the rear housing to a 5 bolt so it can be used with the manifold, OR try this new 4 bolt compatible cast manifold with a regular gt3076r using a t31 style rear housing

If anyone has used this type of cast manifold please let me know of experiences!

Again. It works. Housing is like having a T04S on the car, so LOTS of webbing to be removed (even if it were a 5 bolt turbine housing, there's some fitment issues to deal with)
Same goes with any other cast. Either get a smaller compressor cover with a different turbo or get the grinder out...
