A 60 amp breaker isn't enough. I know its higher than your rated need output but you need something that is about 80% of the rated output. You could probably get away with a 65amp breaker as long as your receptacle has a second ground. People at homo depot really don't have a ******* clue when it comes to stuff like this and you should actually go to a place that specializes in electrical code. Take a look in the yellow pages and call up some local contractors to find out some good places to buy electrical supplies. If you're lucky they might even tell you what you need. Around here we have Dominion Electric and Branch electric and a couple of smaller guys.
hehe yet another reason why I am so glad I bought the prowave 185. A 40amp breaker, a little bit of 10/3 wire and a receptecle and I was done

I'm only running a 50 amp breaker for mine. It works great.. I rarely.. Infact I don't think I have ever had it about 110 amps output.

I set mine up with a 40 amp breaker. If you are going to weld mostly stainless, steel and less than 1/8" aluminum you shouldnt have any issues with going over 40 amps.
