260whp @ 14psi w/ AEM EMS.. nice
How did you get your boost to hold stable? My GReddy kit was jumping all over the place at anything over 8-9psi

Is that the standard Greddy Turbo you are using? Did you dyno at 260?

Sorry, I can't see 260 horse on this turbo. I could never get mine to get more than 12 psi out of it let alone 14. That is why I asked if it was a "dyno". Agree dave?

Re: My turbo SOHC ... with pics ! (ladysman)
nice #s. are you still using that cast iron 'downpipe/exhaust' piece from GREDDY? or did u get a flange and make a custom DP? if u made a custom DP with a flange, where'd u get the flange from?

Ehh.. I only dyno'd mine at 10psi and it gave me 217whp. I suppose an extra 4psi is good for 40-ishwhp with a good tune (AEM). My biggest concern which I posted earlier was how the hell he got the GReddy to HOLD 14psi. Mine would go nuts over 8-9psi.

Re: My turbo SOHC ... with pics ! (VTC_CiViC)
Holding 15psi on a greddy turbo is no problem. My friend with a DX hatch d15b7 or whatnot is running the ex greddy kit and we've accidentally boosted 15lbs on many occasions trying to get the stupid profec-b set right. As a matter of fact, we cant get the 'high boost' setting to go a pound below 11 no matter how hard we try... And it holds 11 rock solid.

That turbo could easilly support 300whp if people would just support it correctly. Everybody on here is on the t3/t4 bandwagon and it seems to me that very few like maximize what they got.
To the origional poster, some light headwork in the right places should help out tremendiously.
EDIT: I don't see a frekkin cam in your setup! SOmething with good lift but no more than stock duration works well. I've seen remarkable things with the zex street/strip cam. Don't have the # off hand, but it is the one that requires valve springs and retainers. Don't get heavy with the porting, simply cleaning up the castings works well. Also don't polish the intake side or combustion chamber. The slight "nipples' in the surface breaks air tension aiding in flow simillar to a golf ball. Porting the exhaust side however helps eliminate carbon buildup, but only for so long.

Not on a D16 without pleanty of headwork and certinaly not with the stock wastegate actuator.

So a properly supported d16 can't maximize the flow map of the 15g? You're also telling me that the stock actuator can't hold it? WTF not! I'll have you know that i've run 25 psi through my 16g, same actuator assembly!
Your reaching the end of the efficiency island with the 15g at 15 psi and teh cfm to support 300whp, but it can be done. You just have to suport it well. (clean up the head, nice cam, maybe an intake manifold, and a nice spearco 2-116 intercooler or something with some 550cc injectors etc...) Sure beats waiting for a 60 trim t4 to spool, and then only running 8 psi
