ID 2000s made by Bosch?
Is this true?
ID scratches off the Bosch part number?
All they do is make the caps from the 48mm to 60mm injector height?
correct me if i heard wrong, just looking for answers.

they are modified bosch injectors, not stock bosch injectors. They start off as OEM injectors for stock vehichle and they are modified for increased flow. ID is not the only company that does this yet they are the most expensive. If you want the same injectors for a fraction of the price get in touch with these guys

good info on that site.
I was ill informed then, I was told there is a new bosch part number for a 1890cc injector, then ID buys them and calls them 2000s with their caps on them to fit b series.
Anyone want to trade for FIC 1850s?

Same here tuned a freinds car with a set of these injectors on e98.Car runs smooth at idle and under cruise you cant even tell the difference between these and stockers.

Yea I think there was some pictures of some knock off ID1000's being seen around... the above link describes what you get with wonderful low cost attempts to copy ID's quality machining and matched flow injectors.
Dont know if whatever injectors from FIC your talking about are truely an equal or just another underperforming knockoff, but personally I will stick with the real deal originals. They have been proven over/ over agian and have the backing of many very well respected tuners/ customers/ shops for a reason. I would rather spend a few extra bucks on such critical parts sometimes to get best quality product/ customer service than compromise with something I am less sure of.
Edit: Looked all over the FIC site and I dont see any modified Bosch's that are on par or anything like the ID1000 and ID2000 modified units.

Re: ID 2000s made by Bosch?
Anybody run the new 2000's yet? I was wondering if they can hold an idle leaner than 12.0 like what was shown on T1's vid. (I know thats asking alot...lol)

Someone should put the generics up against the IDs in the same car. Something similar to the little test done on the stock integra. I would but I dont have the dyno or the knowledge to tune. And I think if tony1 did it people still would not believe the difference. So someone else that doesnt sell either product would have to step up. So many skeptics out there. But I think that would finally put this subject to bed.....
or ****'em, let the skeptics learn the hard way.

i dont remember who it was.. probably t-1.. put up a dyno vid on HT not too long ago (search for it) with them on a bone stock LS motor i think it was.. thing idles ALMOST like stock.. even made more power without retuning (just scaled stock maps for the injector size) because of better fuel atomization!

i have done a back to back test, on 2 different engines (one roller non/vtec cam, one vtec style camshaft) and there is a huge difference. the biggest difference is in the battery offset information. kick the rad fan on with the knock offs and watch afr go from 14.0 to 12.0 and the idle stumble..... not with the ID's.
the people who are interested in the knock offs dont care what the test results are for the most part. the people who want the good parts, the first time, are going to go with the ID's right from the get go. i did the test for my own personal knowledge to see if they were all they were hyped up to be.
a lot of people push shitty products on this site to try to make money, so i'll question anything and everything. (99 out of 100 times the shitty parts have better profit margin than the good ones)
the ID injector line up is the real deal. will be using a set of 2k's on a car hopefully in the next week or so. pulling out a set of 160's. im 100% confident its going to be a night and day difference.

Re: ID 2000s made by Bosch?
I had a set of precisions 780s and before this engine is completed I already bought a set of the id1000s to replace them.(the precisions are for sale btw) I read all IDs info and it all came from very crdible sources. Im just waiting till I get other things in order and Ill be testing them first hand.
Ive seen the stock integra video already I just wanted to see what the cheaper modified boschs would do in the same engine. Im really curious what 1600cc sound like in a stock engine.

I'll still recommend the injectors because they are EXCELLENT and my hat's off to the amount of effort ID puts into their products, but I've just lost a little bit of respect for them as a business entity. It's sad that I had to consider that they might see this post and start calling me an "Idiot". That page could have been handled much more maturely, even if he went back at a later date to change it.

While the post may seem a bit harsh at this point, it was preceeded by many claims of us being full of **** and overpriced and that people were only paying for a name. Might not justify things, but at least some insight as to where the frustration was coming from at that point.

Oh I definitely know where it came from, I followed up before I posted and I actually remember some of the posts calling you out. I'm glad he labeled it as a rant at least. When I research a company I look at stuff like this and that's basically all I'm trying to say here. It's just my opinion of how it can be taken.
You guys definitely beat the competition hands down. I've seen these injectors in person and they are top notch quality. They perform as advertised and I'll definitely recommend them to everyone who's looking. Keep up the good work!
