Errorcode 20 ELD - DelSol D16Y8 to B16B swap
Wassup guys need some help here
Errorcode 20 - ELD = Eletric Load Detector
Car: '98 del sol, D16Y8, OBD2a
harness: D16Y8 OBD2a
engine: B16B OBD2a
ECU: B16B stock
plug B16B ALT= 4-pins
plug D16Y8 ALT = 3-pins
Problem is the missing ELD system, my car don't have it.
How can I remove this error?
3 ideas....
1. ELD upgrade = I don't want this
2. P28 ECU with B16B map and deleted ELD = maybe, but want to kepp the B16B ecu
3. B16B ECU - send a value to the PIN to remove the error code
I checked the manual and it says 0.1V - 4.8V to the ECU... so can I just give a 4V value to the pin? Any other idea?
thank you in advance, regards from germany!

Not having a functioning ELD causes more engine drag and cranking issues, especially in extreme weather or hot starts. Personally I would recommend adding the ELD circuit if you want to keep the B16B ECU. It's fairly easy and inexpensive.
