I'm rebuilding my D15B2 mini-me engine (my mechanic is, actually..), and even though I'm at the very beginning, I am almost sure the block suffered some wear (well... no s#it, Sherlock).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original diameter of the block sleeves is 75mm ? And if the diameter now is over 75.5mm, it would need repairing, right?
My question is, if it is right at 75.5mm, or little above it, can I use oversized piston rings (+0.50mm) with the stock pistons, or do I need new pistons too (oversized pistons)?

Sorry for the noob'ness, I'm really new at this :/

Oversize rings go with oversize piston.

Thanks. That's what I thought too (and that's what makes sense), but some people told me that I could use them with the stock size bearings, as they would "stretch" with the heat during engine break in, and would seal the oil well.
But yea, since I want the engine to be healthy and long-lasting, I'm not going with "maybe it'll work", I want to be sure I'm doing things the right way.

Also, your "wear" won't be at 75.50mm in 99% of the cases.

Honda put in two rebuild oversizes, 75.25mm and 75.50mm so that the engine could be fully rebuilt twice.

Out of spec for stock 75.00mm if I recall is anything beyond .002" or 0.05mm for taper and for bore size (out of round) maximum bore size service limit is 75.07mm which is once again a 0.002" or 0.05mm sevice limit from Standard/New spec as can be seen in the figure below:

Yes, I knew the wear wouldn't be a flat value, I meant to say "between 75.00 to 75.50" . But you're showing it way more precisely than I even thought about it.

So basically, if the bore measures 75.60mm (or anything over 75.52mm), it's no good? Can't even be serviced? Or it can be, but with new "sleeves" (I don't know the correct term in english)?
I have two blocks, and I'm going to measure both to see which one is in better shape :/

Correct, for the most part if it's beyond 75.57mm you will need to re-sleeve the block to make it usable.

I have heard of people overboring beyond last service spec but not sure if that is possible on all Honda engines or only specific ones. And I tend to think it's only done with aftermarket sleeves being put into the block as well as posts or a proper block guard.
