Viper 5900 alarm and Constant IG. blown [under SW] problem
I have Viper 5900 sec. sys.. One day, out of the blue it started acting up...
1. When you hit LOCK or UNLOCK button, the car alarm does not chirp/beep.
2. My car sensors are not working. EX. it used to go off when my hood was open, or my back window was open, doors open, or someone hit it hard.
And number TWO problem...
IG fuse under SW keeps blowing... And I noted it, it is always when my stereo was on...
If someone could give me a lead on either the problems that would be great...
Thank you

Sounds like the alarm is in valet mode, [door locks still work but alarm does not].
As for the "IG fuse" I need more info and clarity, what do you mean by "IG fuse under SW exactly what fuse and exactly where is it, [fuse number and location]?
MM&Y of car?
Make and model of " stereo "? 94

Hi, If its on valet mode the led would be solid. You just open a door and then press LOCK UNLOCK and LOCK again. That's going to take you out of that mode.
