Default alarm problem....

I had a blown fuse on my alarm but I replaced it, it was a 15A fuse. then when I replaced it my alarm was working but when I turn on my car then off it wont work again only the unlock/lock button on my control works.

any ideas on what is the problem.??

its a 94 accord lx, the alarm type is viper 300 i think.

The car could be stuck on valet mode. Is the led staying solid or flashing if there is one?

X2 double check to see if your alarm in is "valet mode". A soild LED means you're in Valet. This made basically disables all alarm functions (including siren confirmation chirps) besides the keyless entry. If you go to replace the fuse and press lock-unlock-lock while you keep the door open...it will put the alarm into valet mode. To exit valet mode...
1. open the door
2. press lock-unlock-lock with @3 seconds or buttons 1-2-1 for older remotes
3. close the door

if the alarm WAS in valet mode then this sequence should've taken it out of valet mode....providing that your remote for the alarm is working properly.

tried it and didnt work. my light is a solid red, any other ideas on how to make it work again?

everytime I unplug and plug the fuse it works like normal. Dont seem why it malfunctions after I turn on the car then off.

http://www.directeddealers.com...V.pdf page 10.

As mentioned press button I the II then I again, you can also turn ing. switch on the off again then press and release the valet program button, [hidden under the dash].

If the neither of the above work it's a good bet you do not have a Viper 300, you will need to stick you head up under the dash and find the alarm brain to see what the model is. 94
